Contesting the Tour of British Columbia’s approximate 5,100 kilometers and 48,000 meters of vertical elevation as a four-rider team provides an opportunity for a well balanced team to best use the strengths of each cyclist participating. To be successful each cyclist must be extremely fit, well prepared and supported by a good escort team and able to adapt to constantly changing conditions and circumstances.
The 2013 FOUR-RIDER OFFICIAL cut-off time for the Tour of British Columbia is 336 hours, (14 days). There are no scheduled stages or rests and cyclists are timed constantly from start to finish. This means that the riders and their support crew must responsibly schedule the appropriate rest required for a safe successful ride. Event management estimate that most FOUR rider teams will complete the course between 8 and 12 days.
Each FOUR rider team will receive race identification including dog tag style personal identification, helmet decals, bicycle and motor vehicle identification kits. Digital and printed route books as well as rule books will also be provided. All official finishers will receive a commemorative garment and a document suitable for framing.
Each team is responsible for all his or her bicycle equipment, food and support crews and must meet event minimums.
FOUR rider registration fees are due in full at time of registration and unfortunately are non-refundable so please be prepared to follow through on your commitment to ride. (Under special circumstances 4 rider teams can make arrangements for payments by emailing info@ultraleticsports.com However unused registrations will be honored for two years (additional administrative fees may apply) and in some circumstances may be transferable.
All registrations will be reviewed by event management for approval and Ultraletic Sports reserves the right to refuse participation to anyone considered unsafe or unruly. If a registration is denied a full refund payment will be made immediately.
