SOLO Rider Registration

Solo Rider Registration: Contesting the Tour of British Columbia’s approximate 5,100 kilometers and 48,000 meters of vertical elevation as a soloist is  one of the most demanding challenges a cyclist can confront anywhere on earth. To be successful a cyclist must be extremely fit, well prepared, supported by a good escort team and able to adapt to constantly changing conditions and circumstances.

The 2013 SOLOIST OFFICIAL cut-off time for the Tour of British Columbia is 360 hours. There are no scheduled stages or rests and cyclists are timed constantly from start to finish. This means that a rider and his or her support crew must responsibly schedule the appropriate rest required for a safe successful ride. Event management estimate that most soloists will complete the course between 10 and 14 days.

Each SOLOIST will receive race identification including dog tag style personal identification, helmet decals, bicycle and motor vehicle identification kits. Digital and printed route books as well as rule books will also be provided. All official finishers will receive a commemorative garment and a document suitable for framing.

Each rider is responsible for all his or her bicycle equipment, food and support crews and must meet event minimums.

Solo registration fees are due in full at time of registration and unfortunately are Non-refundable so please be prepared to follow through on your decision to ride. However unused registrations will be honored for two years (additional administrative fees may apply) and in some circumstances may be transferable.

All registrations will be reviewed by event management for approval and Ultraletic Sports reserves the right to refuse participation to anyone considered unsafe or unruly. If a registration is denied a full refund payment will be made immediately.

To celebrate our inaugural races in 2013 we have developed a list of Original Rider benefits which will provide preferred registration pricing, permanent rider identification number and Original Rider distinction on race jerseys, bicycle and vehicle race identification.

Specific benefits will vary from year to year, but original riders in will be guaranteed the same registration fees in 2014, 2015 and 2016 as our original fees.
